The LLNL Faculty Mini Sabbatical Program is tentatively planning on accepting onsite sabbatical fellows in July 2021.
Our faculty mini-sabbatical program is designed to bring top academic talent from universities across the U.S. for a 1-3 month visit to the Laboratory to develop collaborations and exchange knowledge, and skills. Faculty will be able to learn firsthand about research and capabilities at the Laboratory, work in labs, and gain new knowledge. Staff scientists and engineers will have an opportunity to collaborate with leading scientists from around the country on their research programs.
Faculty will be hired full-time for 1 to 3 months, receive a salary of 12K/month, and travel costs. The faculty member is expected to be onsite during their sabbatical.
There are two parts to applying for a mini sabbatical:
- Faculty must first be sponsored by a staff scientist. Staff scientists must fill out a short form sponsoring the faculty member. Completed short forms sponsoring the faculty member should be sent to Mildred Lambrecht to be evaluated by the University Relations Sabbatical Program committee for approval.
- Faculty need to apply below (Job ID: 107694).
